Samsung introduced the first module of memory for mobile devices 8 GB

Samsung has introduced the world's first module RAM LPDDR4 8 GB, intended for flagship smartphones, tablets and ultrathin notebooks, according to Android Central.

The new module record volume configured on 10-nm process technology and integrates four memory chips of 2 GB each, and supports data transfer rates of over 34 GB / s. This unit consumes as much energy as its 20 nm predecessor of 2014, which amounts to 4 GB.

According to the vice-president of Samsung Joo-Sung Choi, the release of this memory module will contribute to the emergence of a new generation flagship mobile devices. At the same time, the company did not say when there will be gadgets with the new module on the market, but we can assume that such a device would be the flagship smartphone Galaxy S8, the presentation of which will take place early next year.

Note that currently on the market are not represented smartphones with RAM of 8 GB, and the most advanced models, such as OnePlus 3, have on board a "just" 6GB of RAM. According to rumors, appeared in early summer on the machine with 8 GB of RAM running a Chinese company LeEco. At the same time the feasibility of equipping smartphones such amounts of RAM raises questions.
